I'm debugging a non-standard mail server, and I use linuxconf to turn the standard services on and off. When I execute the following code, though, linuxconf 1.13r5 on RedHat 5.2 gets confused: chkconfig --del sendmail linuxconf --update In this case, sendmail stays running. If I call 'linuxconf --status', it doesn't show a command to shut down sendmail. On the other hand, if I then shut down sendmail manually, linuxconf knows sendmail doesn't need to be restarted. This is a very low priority bug, but I thought someone might like to know.
