Hey folks,

I could still use some help configuring a firewall on my primary server...
using Red Hat 5.2 and LinuxConf 1.13 subrev 5. I'd like to restrict access
to certain ports such as 109/110/143.

The steps I've been trying are...

(1) Enable firewall blocking rules, which defaults to shutting everything
out (deny).

(2) Create blocking rule to allow access to the world on every port.

(3) Create rule to deny access to the world on specific port (143 for example).

(4) Create rule to allow access from trusted IP on specific port (143 for
example).

Steps 1 to 3 work just fine, but adding rule 4 above does not allow access
to specified IP.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers... Dino
