Jacques,

The upgrade to linuxconf seems to fix my problems adding ip-addresses to my
machine, but there seems to be some glitch left and I don't know what it is
caused by.

While updating the network addresses with linuxconf 1.13r12, I get the
following two errors alternating each other a dozen times:

                        Error Ŀ
                        Can't set ownership of file
                        /var/log/netconf.log

                        User root does not exist

                   Error Ŀ
                   Can't write file /var/log/netconf.log
                   Too many open files

After that, everything is fine (ifconfig shows the right addresses)

Linux is just like a wigwam:
no Windows, no Gates and an Apache inside.
