Go in linuxconf, then in networking, then client tasks and then "basic
host information". Give a name to the machine and then fill the section
for the first adaptor. You must provide
an IP number
make sure it is enabled (check box)
set it to manual
select "eth0" as the network device
pick the type of ethernet adaptor you have (kernel module). For
example, pick "ne" if you have an ne2000 adaptor. For ne only
enter the IRQ and I/O setting. The other will probe.
You must select an IP number compatible with the ones you have chooseen
for the win95.
After that, quit from linuxconf. If you have linuxconf 1.13r12, it will
notice the changes and will activate the network. If you have an earlier
release, reboot. You will be able to ping after that.
