We have a Redhat 5.2 Server with Sendmail that is sitting in a DMZ
portion of my network. Previously, the Sendmail functionality was
working properly before relocating the server to the DMZ. Mail can be
received from the outside with no problem but replying or creating new
mail will generate error messages:

        Connection timed out with mail.mailserver.com.
alias database /etc/aliases.db out of date
        ... we do not relay

I'm fairly new to this world of Linux and would appreciate any hints in
the right direction.

Thanks.
