You should set in Networking->Mail delivary system->Relay for by Name/
Relay for by IP to allow your users send messages via SMTP protocol.
Let's make it clear in examples:

Assume your machine is called "v1.foo.com"
If you haven't set "relay for by name/IP", only users in v1.foo.com
(i.e. in its bash/tcsh/... prompt or its X console) can send messages
via v1.foo.com.

And if some user in v2.foo.com, where runs a Windows 95, wants to send
message via v1.foo.com, he/she would receive a message as what you have
mentioned.

So you may add "v2.foo.com" in "relay for by name/IP" to authorise users
in v2.foo.com to send messages via v1.foo.com (i.e. SMTP server set to
v1.foo.com in your Eudora).

Or you may add "foo.com" to authorise all users in all machines which
have the domain of "*.foo.com" to send messages via that.

Or you may add, assuming you have a class C in 192.168.1.0, "192.168.1"
to authorise every machine which is in the class C to send messages via
v1.foo.com.

Feel free to check the help message in Network->sendmail->relay for by
name/IP, if you're using English locale or a locale which has help
messages. (Malheureusement qu'il n'y a pas de renseignement d'aide en
francais dans la section.)
