All,

Today, I upgrade my RedHat 5.0 machine with a truckload of more up-to-date
RPMs in order to tighten security. The machine already ran linuxconf 1.13r12

Now, I get the following symptoms:

a- after reboot, I lost all my IP-aliases
b- when I run linuxconf, it wants to modify a truckload of things (see
below)
c- when it does them, some errors occur (see below)

Somehow, I have the feeling I upgraded one or two RPMs too much. Any idea
how to find out whic?

Ad a- It seems that a lot of IP-adresses are being duplicated with the wrong
broadcast and netmask.

This again results the same failure for the network reload and in some
failures for the clearing of eth0:16, 17 and 18. But somehow these are not
serious enough to continue and get to a stable situation.
