I'm unable to reproduce the issue. Can you try with a new profile?

mv ~/.dc++ ~/.dc++_backup

If that doesn't work, you can try monitoring the settings file to see
what values are being set:

grep "toolbar-style" ~/.dc++/LinuxDC++.xml
grep "use-system-icons" ~/.dc++/LinuxDC++.xml

Title:
  Doesn't save appearance preferences

Status in Linux DC++:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have to set appearance preferences ("use system icons" and "main
  toolbar style: hidden" every time I start LinuxDC++. Other appearance
  preferences I use (for example, custom timestamp format and away
  message) work okay and aren't reset when restarting.

  LinuxDC++ version: 1.2.0~pre1~bzr
  Core version: 0.75

  Debian Squeeze, 2.6.32-5-686
