Steven Sheehy proposed the following answer: The person that was working on the i18n branch gave up on the project because he thought it was a good idea to make a branch of an unstable branch that was itself branched off an unstable trunk. Needless to say it wasn't a good idea. I will be taking on the task of adding i18n support now. We will announce on our home page when we're ready to accept translations.
