Razzloss proposed the following answer:
I don't think the Linuxdcpp uses system proxy settings, and if it does
those are used only for hublist downloads. Overriding (if used, can't
check atm) can be done by starting linuxdpp from terminal with
'http_proxy="" linuxdcpp' (without ')

SOCKS settings can be defined in the connection preferences.
