Sources ignored and extended "idle' downloads.

Bug description:
When conducting a search for an mp3 file, a notice comes up in between
hubs showing on the middle left side and the progress bar at the
bottom of the screen. The notice says "xx sources ignored: duplicate
source: xx . I am also getting "idle" downloads occuring more often
than not.
