Hi guys.
Applications:
Good apps to start with, Eugene. But I know of a couple of more that could be
added.
Accounting App that I know of:
Proven Choice Accounting http://www.provenacct.com - Never used but saw it on
Linux Today.
For home stuff:
GNUcash and gnutif should be included I think also. There is some others that I
have seen showing up lately also.
Location:
A good place to maybe try to find a place to have a demo would be Barnes and
Noble. They host events a lot and would probably also help with promotion. The
local store here has offered to hold a demonstration/presentation just today.
Help Available:
Also to Deepak, I would volunteer to help with the web page or taking the
advertiser coordinator position. I have already started working on a general
letter to mail to prospective attendees and also a press release for the local
newspaper. The press release could be made to be more generic also so user
groups could tailor it to their specific locale and needs.
