Hey all! I want to participate in this, but here's the problem: the only
city that I think has a LUG is about an hour's drive away, and only a few
people around here know about Linux. But there are a few. So anyway,
here's my question: how do you start a LUG (any ideas)?
Ok, a bit about me. I'm a computer science major at a small
college in Ohio. One day, one of my friends says "Hey, they're giving
away operating systems down at the book store." So I picked up a copy of
Caldera OpenLinux version 1.2.
I think it would be great if everyone used Linux or something that
can run Linux programs (FreeBSD). Write a great game, people download the
source, compile it. None of this "Sorry that game is for the Mac" or
"that game won't run on NT, you NEED to have Win95 or Win98".
Ok, I'll quit rambling now.
