No :)

Yes, just basic info. Applicattion type, web page, and
a shrot description. And where to get them is all I think
we need to provide. I don't think we need things like requirements,
what distribution it comes with, etc. We just want enough so
that users can go check out the websites and see if the
apps might fulfill their requirements for a certain task.

Agreed. We should probably list no more than three apps/category.
In addition, the apps should fulfill at least the following reqs:

a) Have enough information available on their web pages so that
people can get more details about them. Remember, most people won't
rush home and install Linux. They're going to want to read about
what's available, so we need to point them towards information
b) Are known to be fairly stable and usable.

OK, you bring up a good point. We do want to include CAD
packages, payroll programs, and other non-consumer applications.
But do we need to list text editors, ftp clients, and other
things which could be considered more utilities than full-fledged
applications?

Also, for some types of applications, there are already web sites
dedicated to covering that type of app under linux. For example
linuxgames.com. In cases such as this, maybe we should just list
web the websites instead of specific apps.
