I have been using a webased interface with mysql, maybe u can try it out.
You can use cgi to access your database and use the browser as a frontend. I
use PHP3 instead of perl/cgi. It is a very powerful server side scripting
language and has a damn good support for various databases including mysql
and is relatively easy to learn. You can learn more about it at
www.php3.net. The good thing about a webbased interface is that you will not
have worry about the client.
