Hi,

Please do not use rich html.

To connect to VSNL use XISP, WVDIAL or PON/POF . All the 3 are excellent
utilities (wvdial is my favorite - hail debian !!!!!).

There are several books available in the market. I dont have much of an idea
on these. You can try Bill Ball. Its good. the best are man pages, LDP's,
Howto's and mini-howto's which reside right inside your system !!

What info do you need on X ??

A tip : to get your linux related problems solved, ask specific questions.
eg: "Where can i get more info on X" is a vague question, and something like
"where can i get a driver for my so-and-so card" or " where can i get themes
for my so-and-so window manager" are specific questions. the chances of you
getting an answer to specific questions are high.

Cheerio,

Sagar.

Subject: New comer to Linux

Dear all,

I am a new comer to the Linux revolution. I would like to get some sound
advice on a number of issues on LInux.

I have just installed the REd Hat 6 distribution. I woudl like to know how I
can get connected to VSNL through Linux.

Secondly I would like to know which would be good books to read about LINUX
besides the guides, which appear to be pretty outdated. Where can I get more
info on X.

Regards
