Lotus for Linux

Can someone please write a small into on Lotus for linux.

Like what can i do with it ?

Eg. Can I immidiately start developing workgroup apps with Lotus notes (the download) and Apache Web Server and

the Windows Clients ?

I mean how can a programmer increase his knowledge from downloading this s/w ?

I guess i am too lazy to go through all the docs on the lotus site. If anyone on the list says its good for

learning from a programmers point of view, I'll download it NOW and read all the docs on the lotus site later :)
