Auto Dial Out

Hi,

I am trying to setup my server to auto dial out whenever I need tcp/ip
packets sent to the
internet.

A book on Linux says that all I need to do is make changes in
/sbin/request-route, i.e. Include the
chat script and the rest will happen automatically. But I couldnt find a
request-route file in the
first place!!

The other soultion is using diald which is third party.

Anyone know the best solutution to my problem ?
