Hi Aditya,
ok ..run xf86config....go thru the procedure of configuring your
keyboard,mouse,montior...when it comes to choosing your video card select
the option to look at the card database..select SiS86C201 as the card..then
go on to select your video ram and save the configuration when satisfied
with the result..
then fire up pico and edit /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config file....go down to
the Graphics device section.there you will find the Chip listed as the one u
selected..add this line
Chipset "sis86c205"
save the changes and exit.now type startx..enjoy..
also if you wish to have 16bit color against the default 8 bit....open the
same file in pico again..and go down to the SCREEN section...just after the
line Monitor "whatever generic name you gave your monitor during the
setup"..add this line
DefaultColorDepth 16
...save and exit..you're done...if you have any problems...or would like to
