Hi All,
I have a PC with a 4.3 GB HDD with RH 6.0 configured (without any SCSI
devices)
Now I am shifting and would have to use a new PC and want to use the same
old HDD.
Will linux cause any problems if all the h/w is of a different type ? Both
the display adapter and
network card may be of a completely different make, but Linux compatible.
Can I just run setup again and correct the problem or will it be more
serious ?
I know in Win 95 if the new h/w is PnP, it will autodetect it, install the
drivers and I will have no problems.
What will the case be with Unix ?
I would appriciate if anyone answeres by Thu afternoon as i would not be
able to use my PC to check e-mails
after that and would have to decide if I take my hdd with me or not by then
:-)
Regards
Shahed.
