RE: Adding modules

Installed VMware from  PCQ CD. On starting the program I get error
message:
"Could not open Please make sure that the kernel module 'vmmon'is loaded.
(/dev/vmmon).
Module 7 power on failed."
Found a file driver-only.tar in the installation directory and extracted
it.
'make' created  dir  with file called vmmon-up-2.2.12-20 among many
like driver.d, driver.o etc.
How to add this module to the kernel.
