moderator sir - - some messages come in with a return receipt 
request and this is quite a nag because one has to answer the 
mail client "never" to respond to the sender that i have read the 
mail!!

as you are already asking people to refrain from using HTML - i suggest that 
folsk also be asked to run off the return receipt option before sending their
mails to the list.
