Hi folks,
    Feels nice in ilug-bom :)

A few thoughts from my experience.

There is an excellent shareware partitioner available at http://www.users.intercom.com/~ranish/part. It provides *power* with an easy interface. A word of warning though, **save your MBR before partitioning**.

For dual boot systems dont install LILO into MBR, linuxroot is safer. And always keep a boot floppy handy :-)

For swap space calculation , its  RAM*2 for less than 32 MB physical RAM : more than that and 64 MB swap should be enough, although for specialised requirements the formula changes. With a swap of 64 MB try "df" in a virtual console while running the app. and if usage of swp is more than say 70-80% then increase swap in steps of 16MB. A usage of 50% is ok. RH 6.1 (and lesser) can be installed without swap!

Sincerely,
Vinil
