The simple rule when using Linux is: if it works, don't disturb it. If
5.x is doing your job, don't bother to upgrade to a release that _may_
not work, just because it's newer.

Red Hat 6.1 has just been released and therefore isn't very well tested.
Your engineer probably came across the first few bug reports that rolled
out.

BTW, RH 5.0 is pretty unstable too. You sure that isn't 5.2 you have?
