I've been off the list for a few days, (actually I was unsubscribed because yahoo mail went down or something and started bouncing mails to the list). If your problem is to have ttf fonts in Gimp (I'm presuming here from the partial thread that I could follow), do this.... copy your TTF font files into a directory with global read permissions (suggested /usr/share/fonts/default/ttf) then chkfontpath --add pathname e.g. chkfontpath --add /usr/share/fonts/default/ttf this thread was on LI some time ago. hth, regards, Sharukh.
