Hi kiran
My problem is, since I am running demand dailing, whenever there is a dns
or any internet related packet in the system, the server automatically
activates the ppp connection. that is why I dont want to use named or
routd, to minimise my precious phone line.
In fact when the ppp0 in not present, I never have the problem. But demand
dialing needs a dummy ppp0 with routing table enabled to the device.
Also this looks like a pine/mutt specific problem, with other mailers I have
not experienced this problem,
If I am right even the forearding option will fireup the internet
connection? Isn't it? Otherwise I will certainly try this option.
