My next project :)
Objectives:
Primary: Run dnetc.exe (rc5 thing, http://www.distributed.net/ if you
don't know) on a single floppy machine.
Secondary: Serve as a boot disk in a pinch.
Target system type:
Pentium 60MHz
16MB ram
1 floppy drive
2 serial ports
no monitor (well, occasionaly one monitor) but 1 vidcard
no keyboard
no hard disk
Requirement:
Must be able to login (telnet and ftp) on serial port from another
machine connected by null modem cable.
Your mission:
1. Discuss :-)
2. Suggest appropriate base mini-distro (muLinux?) as starting point
3. Tips for building from scratch
