Well, duh! That takes care of dial-in, but technically, that's  a dirty
way of doing dial-in and dial-out. For example... suppose you use the
modem for dial-out. At what point after you disconnect does the dial-in
become active? It does require /some/ initialization...

I know this method works, because I've unknowingly used it (forgot to
switch ports at the back :) but I'm sure it's not the /right/ way.
