When you log into your windows pc, you give a username there. You will
need to have an account with the same name on your linux pc and use that
password. The other option is to create a kind of aliasing rule for the
samba server. I don't know how exactly to do this, but have heard that it
is not a good idea.
There maybe other issues with encrypted passwords and stuff.
