Hi,

I use pppd directly to connect to two ISP's - Roltanet and VSNL.

1. Configure the necessary files /etc/ppp/peers/<ISP> for options that are
specific to each ISP. The main /etc/ppp/options should contain only generic
options.
2. Create dialer-scripts for each ISP, to be called by the corresponding
peers-file.
3. Make entries in the chap/pap-secrets files.

Then you can connect by issuing the command "pppd call <ISP>"

I can send you my config files if you want ... the PPP-Howto is also very
helpful. At the start, you might need to use options like debug, kdebug 1,
etc for troubleshooting.

BTE, is their a GUI for pppd? rp3 uses wvdial and I don't use KDE, which
rules out kppp.

Sameer.
