I think your system is missing some modules because of a bad installation
CD (mine, that is!) You I had installed RHL 6.1 on another comp a few days
before you did, using the same CD, and its giving the same errors. Most of
the kernel modules are missing! When we tried to verify the rpm packages
the other day, the CD started giving bad sector errors.
The installation scripts seem to ignore rpm errors and hence this problem
went unnoticed ... you might have to reinstall the system from a good CD;
can anyone help out here? Even I am looking for an intact copy of RHL 6.1
