I have been following the conversations about the
meetings and other expenses and here is my take.

1. The meetings : I think the Navi Mumbai location is
out of the way for us on the Western side but I think
a decent compromise would be to have alternate
meetings in Bandra (someone said it was feasible) and
HBCSE. It would make it possible for more people to at
least make a first visit. I must point out that I
plann to come for the first time on the 14th.

2. On the expenses : I would be happy to pay the
50/100 bucks (whether per meeting or per month) for
this. I would suggest however that we be allowed to
bring guests (or one guest) free. Some discipline
would be required on our part however.

3. For the other expenses incurred in running the site
and these lists, I think the best long term solution
would be to try and modify the site so as to encourage
ad revenue. Other sources could be considered at a
later time.

4. Why not try coming up with merchandise (t-shitrs,
buttons) and collectibles (say ILUG mugs) for sale. I
think these could be a workable source of income too.
