I don't know about the sound card but as far as the SiS6215c is concerned,
it is supported in Red Hat Linux 6.1 only it is not listed in Xconfigurator
or whatever. If you installed Red Hat from the PC Quest Nov'99 CD then mount
the CD under Linux, change to the directory /mnt/cdrom/pcq and run the
pcqupdt script like this: ./pcqupdt
You need to be logged on as root.
Do not install the programs it asks you to.
Now run Xconfigurator and configure it for the card
"sis86c215(PCQ)"
You may still have to edit the /etc/XF86Config file. In the devices section
if the line "VideoRam 2048" is commented, uncomment it. In the screens
section if
the depth is indicated as 32 change it to 24.
Your card should now be configured. Run startx
