Pal tell me with a processor like that (P-120) & with RAM like that (16MB)
where do ya expect to go(No offence meant, i myself am on a P166 with 64MB RAM).
I guess with a system like that you should stick to the console for
maximum performance.
But if ya still insist , instead of KDE try fvwm
, enlightenment , icewm or twm as optional window managers. You will be able to
derive the maximum from ya system with these Window Managers. The reason bieng
that these Window Managers r not at all resource hoggy as KDE.

Try "sax" at the console , but before doing that see that the X-Server has
been shut down or ya will cause a core dump. Sax is a fantastic GUI tool which
helps ya configure & tweak with ya X-SErver settings.

OOOps!! pal autodetection ain't possible in SuSE6.3 thats cause theres no
tool to get the job done. SuSe 6.4 solves that.
What ya wil have to do is edit the file "/etc/conf.modules" & uncomment the
drivers & settings for ya card( i.e if they r there).
--> You wanna get it done the easier way eh ??
go to www.google.com & search for "ALSA sound drivers" . When ya get to
the site (The ALSA sound project) download the installable package for SuSe6.3.
It's really fantastic , let me tell ya. I've tried it out .
