neither. 

listserve is not free.

(listserve-lite, pseudo free doesn't do more then 500 
 subscribers.)

majordomo and esquire are unscalable.

Not recommended for high volume lists. You start a perl 
interpreter for every mail. Too much overhead.

ezmlm rules. small, fast, reliable, scalabe. with the -idx 
patch you get all nessecary extra features and bells and 
whistles.
