I thought Fedora core 2 came with a 2.6 kernel and alsa. It does come with libalsa and alsa-utils. So alsa should work, no ? Or are you referring to the lack of alsa plugin in xmms for fc2 by default ? That can be easily fixed with the plugin from xmms. regards, C
