I dont think the owners of higher end laptops would care about connecting to the internet with that sucky software internal modem. I personally dont own a high end laptop but I preferred to convert the switch in my house to a wifi router when I purchased the laptop. If I have the money I would replace the network cards with wifi ones but you dont get good network cards compatible with Linux. I am really repenting purchasing netgear wg311v2 card :( -- Dinesh A.
