I prefer the DSL modem/router to act as a gateway to my LAN.  Thus, I
have not experimented with setting the DSL router in bridge mode (Wan
setting on PVC0) but it can be done via it's web administration page
presuming you have DLink 502t.  Can't speak for other brands.

To access the administration page point a web browser to 192.168.1.1 and
use admin (for user) and the CA number (for password) that MTNL has
given you.
