I have a CD/DVD writer that does not read any medium. The physical function like eject/insert of the tray works OK. On insert, the external panel LED lights up a for a moment and then nothing.
I suspect the LED/head is gone. I want to explore the option of getting it repaired. If you know of any place (in Mumbai) that handles such repairs please contact me off list. Thank you.
