Rony had advised me to try editing the printer selector in each application. I tried doing this with Mozilla, but cannot see the right way to edit the module using a line editor. Siddhesh also asked whether I was setting up OpenOffice for the printer, but I haven't done this, nor can I see how it is done. The OpenOffice installation was done long before the printer arrived.
