I have SuSE 10.0 (subfs to automount CD/DVD drives), and have gone thru
the exercise of installing the multimedia RPMs from the Packman and
SuSE-Guru sites.  

I am experiencing similar problems as the OP with **some** VCDs (video
clips of Hindi songs). With these VCDs Kaffeine launches and displays
the title and crashes, MPlayer complaints it cannot find the VCD in the
drive.  However, some VCDs and all DVDs play fine.  Will look in the
SuSE support forums to see if there is any solution.
