Downloading / copying ANY material in violation of it's copyrights is 
illegal.
U can download / copy loads of MP3s, videos, papers whatever subject 
to the abv.
U are (unintentionally) confusing the act of downloading with piracy.
also there was a stupid move to ban P2P networks in the US by the 
media crooks cause it prevented them from preemptive strikes and 
other nonsense. This legislation relied on precisely this type of 
disinformation.
