Hi. Following the suggestions given by list members, I installed OpenSuse 10.1 on my HP Compaq v5000 laptop. Everything is detected nicely. Just one major problem. I am not able to get maximum volume whem I play music. All sliders on alsamixer and the speaker volume applet on the desktop next to the clock are set to maximum, but the the sound plays at say 50% of the max. Any suggestions?
