Hi. I am usig Ubuntu 6.06. I connect to my local ISP using DSL. I set up the connection using 'ppoeconf'. Upon connection, the pppd daemon automatically(?) downloads the list of dns servers.
However, the list of servers it downloads are not very good. I tried to stop this behavior by saying 'No' in the appropriate dialog of 'pppoeconf', but that did not help. The /etc/resolv.conf file keeps getting updated with the list at regular intervals. I want to override this behavior, and provide my own list of DNS servers. How can I do this?
