We at NetMagic Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (a leading data center based out of
Goregaon, Mumbai) have a requirement for a Linux Administrator /
Engineer with a good background in monitoring. Basic requirements being
decent communication, excellent attitude and ability to work as a team.
I would expect someone who fits the requirement to have atleast 4-5
years of experience in core monitoring.
The technical requirements being:
MUST
Protocols: SNMP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, LDAP, DNS
Monitoring: SNMP, Nagios, WMI
Other Skills: Shell (bash) scripting
GOOD to have
Database: MySQL, PgSQL
Web Servers: Apache
Packaging: RPM, Anaconda
Applications: openLDAP
Awareness of ITIL / FCAPS
MAYBE
Others: iptables, selinux, opennms
MTA: qmail, postfix
