Correct. And what better way to do it than on M$ money. Leverage it 
fully and charge hefty premiums. Keep a foss speaker after every M$ 
speaker. Plaster the venue with GNU/Linux postives. Ensure that lug 
delhi has a nice stall adjacent to M$ so that the crowd moves to you 
AFTER visiting M$.

Unlikely. All the more reason to use the opportunity.
What the hell are u afraid of anyway?. All u need is visibility and M$ 
might unwittingly help in getting you that.
M$ is mean, crooked and a marketing machine and you have to (and u 
can) beat them at marketing. That would leave them with only meaness 
and crookednes.
