You can also get them from the roadside stalls in the Fort area - again, ask for the discount. For perl, good books would be: Learning Perl, Programming Perl, The Perl Cookbook, Mastering Regular Expressions, and some others I can't remember. The first two may be a little more expensive, but most should be around 250.
