hi all, i am using rh7.2, my ipaddress is 192.168.1.50
i have changed the ipaddress in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 IPADDR=192.168.1.55 # service network restart it does not reflect when i use the command # /sbin/ifconfig eth0 but i am able to ping both the ip addresses 192.168.1.50 and 192.168.1.55 i tried with # /usr/sbin/netconfig # /sbin/ifdown eth0 # /sbin/ifup eth0 still it does not show me when i type # /sbin/ifconfig eth0 it showed me when i rebooted the system (bad..) any idea -sanjeev _______________________________________________ http://mm.ilug-bom.org.in/mailman/listinfo/linuxers
