In which case you are trying to learn real mode ASM programming? I have doubts that Dosemu will allow direct access to hardware. Linux does not easily allow it. The dosemu probably will be running in a virtual machine. If you are serious (about real mode asm), maybe you should consider installing Dos? I also did some assembler some time back :) - TASM/DOS.
