i guess ext3 is not deragmented so i used fdisk w/o defragmenting .... > #3. Delete the BIG partition > #4. Then create the Dos partition. first i used parted nd resized / successfully then i added a Dos partition but after reboot i got the following error: ===================================================================== /: The filesystem size (according to the superblock) is 1026144 blocks The physical size of the device is 1000038 blocks Either the superblock or the partition table is likely to be corrupt! ====================================================================== so i used fdisk to delete the / nd Dos partition afterwards I recreated / partition to the original size Now i don't get the error (but i still don't hav Dos partition :( So i guess the info abt the filesystem is written somewhere (superblock?). I guess if i were able to change the block-size , I wud not hav got the error. Is there ny way I can change the block-size in the superblock? What is superblock anyways?
